Last night, over 50 students, teachers, administration, dance team alumni, and parents got together at the Glory Days Bar and Grill in Burke, Virginia to support the West Springfield High School Dance Team as they competed on the popular reality-competition TV show, America's Got Talent. The dance team had performed on a previous episode of America's Got Talent, only to be eliminated, but was give the opportunity to dance last night in hopes of re-entering the competition by winning the "Wild Card" act, during which they compete for viewers' and judges' votes.

"We love the coaches, they are amazing," said Carol Jones, mother of former dance team member and captain, Sarah Kofait.

A group of parents thought getting together at a local bar would be a fun way to show support for the team and watch them perform live. Tune in to NBC tonight at 9/8c for the live results show which will feature a performance by recording artist Colbie Caillat!

West Springfield High School's principal, Paul Wardinski, brought his whole family along last night, including his 2 daughters and wife. The West Springfield Dance Team performed a dance routine as zombies and, while the judges thought they didn't step up their game from their previous performance, the dance team still has insurmountable support at home.

"I know they will perform well and make us proud, and that is all that really matters," said Wardinski.

The team is competing for $1,000,000, the headline act of a national tour, and the chance to headline a show on the Las Vegas strip.
