On May 30th, 2009, Pat Mullins was elected Chairman of the Republican Party of Virginia.  Prior to this position, Mullins served as Chairman of the Fairfax County Republican Committee from 1990 to 1996. During that time, he helped to lead the Republican Party to a first Republican majority on the Board of Supervisors in the history of Fairfax County.  Invited by the Republican Club of Greenspring, Pat Mullins spoke to residents of Greenspring retirement community about the current political climate and the future of Republican politics in Virginia on Tuesday, September 6.

Residents of Greenspring retirement community in Springfield, VA are no strangers to the political process; in 2003, the community became its own voting precinct and historically has produced the highest voter turnout of all precincts in Virginia.
