Christmas Celebration 2010

Christmas Celebration 2010

The holiday’s are here.  People are Christmas shopping, people are caroling, and it’s snowing.  The holiday’s are in full affect.  But one exciting thing that has come to our area is the Christmas Celebration at Evangel Cathedral in Largo, Maryland.  The Christmas Celebration has been a big hit in our area for many years in the past.  This play will leave you in amazement as you watch the birth, crucifixion, and resurrection of Christ.  You also can’t forget the live animals, the laser shows, pyrotechnics, and other special affects.  But this year marks the 20th anniversary of the Broadway style play.  Twenty years is a huge milestone, so what wouldn’t be better with performances by Grammy artists Yolanda Adams, Donnie McClurkin, and Marvin Sapp.  If you haven’t ever seen this show, this would be the perfect year to attend this extraordinary event.

Family Christmas Concert at the Kennedy Center

Concerts at the Kennedy Center are wonderful any time of the year, but they’re especially magical during the holidays when the halls are adorned with seasonal decorations, spirits are jovial, and family activities are in demand. This weekend is a perfect opportunity to enjoy the experience; on Saturday, December 18, The Choral Arts Society of Washington presents a Family Christmas Concert: The Night Before Christmas, a theatrical concert for audiences of all ages.
