Metropolitan School of the Arts (MSA) of Alexandria and Lorton, Va. will present their pint-sized, 30-minute version of the Nutcracker for younger audiences, along with a breakfast on Sun., Dec. 7 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Embassy Suites in Old Town Alexandria, Va. Tickets are $38 for children, 10 and younger,  and $48 for adults. Go to www.metropolitanarts.org for tickets.

MSA presents a 30-minute Nutcracker performance for younger audiences, who are looking for an abbreviated version of the classic Nutcracker. A pre-performance brunch buffet will also be served. Seats will be assigned for this event in tables of 10 according to reservation time and party size.

“Nutcracker in a Nutshell is the perfect holiday performance for your little ones who love the Nutcracker story, but can’t quite make it through the full Nutcracker show, and it’s complimented with a full brunch…a great way to start the holiday season,” said Melissa Dobbs, founder and president of Metropolitan School of the Arts Alexandria and Lorton, Va.
